Get specified. Every file a consultant asks for, from one product record.
Photometric files, lux calculations, BIM families, datasheets and catalogues — generated from your product data in seconds, not weeks. That is how lighting brands get named in the schedule.
Plans for one brand or a whole group. Tell us about your catalogue and we quote it.
Every file a specification asks for, from one record.
The consultant asks for an IES file, a Revit family and a datasheet, and expects them today. Southbeam holds the product once and generates all three — and the LDT, the DIALux project and the catalogue page — from the same data, so nothing contradicts anything.
- IES and LDT from your laboratory data, header validated
- Modelled preliminaries clearly stamped as such
- Regenerated automatically when the product changes
Lux calculations that arrive with the quote.
A calculation pack for a reference space — office, corridor, car park, warehouse — with the product already placed and the result already run, so the consultant can open it, check it and move on.
- DIALux and Relux project files
- Average lux, uniformity and UGR reported per space
- Your own reference rooms, or the standard set
BIM families the consultant can actually drop in.
Parametric Revit families with a type catalogue covering the variants, carrying the parameters specifiers filter on. Not one family per item code, and not a family that was built once by a freelancer and never updated.
- Revit families for the three most recent releases
- IFC 4 for everything else
- A datasheet link inside every family
Datasheets that stay true to the product.
Built from the record in your brand template and languages. Change a wattage and the datasheet, the catalogue page and the Revit family all change together — with the old version kept.
- Two-page technical datasheets, press-ready
- Every language you sell in, from the same record
- Catalogues assembled from the same pages
Not just file generation.
The files get you onto the schedule. What keeps brands here is everything that hangs off them.
Photometric files
IES (LM-63) and LDT (EULUMDAT) from your lab data, with the header fields consultants actually check.
Lux calculation packs
DIALux and Relux project files with the product placed in a reference space, plus a calculation report per room.
BIM families
Parametric Revit families and IFC 4, with a type catalogue covering every variant rather than one family per SKU.
Datasheets
Two-page technical datasheets in your brand and languages, regenerated the moment a specification changes.
Catalogues
Print-ready and PDF catalogues built from the product record — no layout tool, no agency, no version drift.
Partner portal
Distributors and specifiers log in for files, price lists and stock, scoped to what you choose to share.
Frequently asked.
How long does it take to get a catalogue in?
An afternoon. Upload the price list or product spreadsheet, map the columns once, and the mapping is remembered. Most brands have datasheets for the whole range the same day and photometric files as soon as the lab data is uploaded.
Do I need laboratory photometry?
For files marked as measured, yes — upload the LDT or IES from the lab and Southbeam validates and normalises it. Where no lab file exists yet, Southbeam can model a preliminary distribution from flux, beam angle and optic type; every such file is stamped preliminary and is replaced automatically when measured data arrives. We never present a modelled distribution as a measurement.
Will consultants accept the files?
The IES and LDT follow LM-63 and EULUMDAT exactly, the Revit families carry the parameters specifiers filter on, and the datasheets are the same document every time. What consultants reject is inconsistency between files — a datasheet saying one thing and the IES another — and generating everything from one record is what removes that.
Which Revit versions are supported?
Families are produced for the three most recent Revit releases, and IFC 4 for everything else. Variants are delivered as a type catalogue, not as separate families.
Where is the data held?
In the hosting region chosen when the account is opened. The choice is recorded against the account so it is auditable, and every file the account generates stays in that region.
One product record. Every file.
Load a catalogue this afternoon and have an IES, a datasheet and a Revit family for every product by tomorrow.
